Job Title: Operations Associate

Job location: Brooklyn, NY

Position: Full-time, In-Person

Hours of work and days: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Compensation: $55,000–$58,000 annually (DOE) + benefits. Part-time opportunities available.

Our clientele at Color Atelier ranges from architects, designers, and contractors, to design-savvy shoppers, homeowners, and DIYers.

We are seeking a Operations Associate to join our Brooklyn team. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in operations, order fulfillment, production, customer service, or retail who thrives in a hands-on environment. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and excited to contribute to a growing brand with growth opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for someone interested in design, color, and materials. You’ll assist in creating our signature paint and plaster samples, supporting both the showroom and online operations.

You’ll be based at our Brooklyn showroom, a creative, design-oriented environment surrounded by great shops, cafes, and easy public transit access. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a growing, design-focused company, with room to learn and advance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process and prepare customer orders, including tinting paints and plasters.
• Pull, pack, and ship products accurately and on time.
• Deliver exceptional customer service across showroom, phone, and email channels.
• Assist with general showroom operations and jump in wherever needed.
• Organize, track, and maintain inventory.
• Keep the workspace, equipment, and tools clean and well-maintained.
  
• Safely handle and move products (must be able to lift 60+ lbs).
  

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous work experience in operations, order fulfillment, customer service, or retail sales.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
• Strong time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn; training provided for the right candidate.
