We are passionate about the beauty and integrity of natural materials. Our mission is to help people rediscover the timeless elegance of lime paint and mineral-based plasters, using artisanal techniques that honor tradition while supporting a more sustainable future.

Unlike conventional “low-VOC” or “zero-VOC” paints—which still rely heavily on plastics and petrochemical ingredients—our products are made from pure, natural minerals. Removing a single toxic component from synthetic paint doesn’t make it natural, and we believe you deserve more than that.

Every Color Atelier product is crafted with intention, authenticity, and uncompromising quality. We formulate all of our paints and plasters in-house, in small batches, ensuring consistency, purity, and superior performance. Our team handcrafts each batch at our California facilities, upholding exacting standards without ever cutting corners.

We work with only the finest natural materials, including, Lime,  Clay, Marble dust, Sand and Mineral pigments. Unlike conventional “low-VOC” or “zero-VOC” paints which still rely on synthetic binders and plastics- our products are genuinely mineral-based and naturally breathable. This results in finishes that offer unmatched depth, texture, and durability, while supporting a healthy home and a lighter environmental footprint.
